Four Kim-tastic Fall Trends

Year after year, most trends fizzle out, what starts off as a seemingly good idea can soon end up in the back of your closet or worse the bargin bin. The good ones, however, transition from “trend” to “style” somewhere along the way, and these can’t be addressed without mentioning Kim Kardashian. Bold Lips: Choosing a vibrant lip color moves the focus from traditionally done- up eyes to an awe-inspiring mouth. Kim got the look right recently, pairing her magenta lips with slightly blushed cheeks and strong eyeliner. Spring Inspired Lip Trends: Go Vibrant Or Go Home!

 I love all of the trend-watching during New York’s Fashion Week. The spring season is my absolute favorite because it means we are closing the chapter on the winter blahs, especially if you are one of those blessed with frigid winter climates and record-breaking snow falls.

That said, I’m really not one to get overly hung up on seasonal fashion trends. Partly because I’m starting to feel too old to pull them off (shame on me) and because I love my tried and true classics: sexy but comfy wrap dresses, great jeans, great tees and killer heels. When it comes to beauty and makeup though, all bets are off! What is so great about beauty and color is most trends can be gently tweaked so we all can try something new yet pull it off in a way that fits within our own personal style. It’s a fun, risk-free way to juice up our predictable morning routine and make even the most boring outfit look fresh.

This spring, some of the hottest beauty looks I’ve seen are lip-based. Great news, considering lips are what made this brand what it is! The overall theme is color, color, color! Unusual colors to be exact. Peach/Orange and purple seem to be everywhere as is the in-your-face, neon pink from the 80’s reign. Go as bold and vibrant as you dare, or find sheerer versions of the shades that still deliver a pop of color without the shocking after-effects. Not that there is anything wrong with shocking!

Start spreading the news…the FusionBeauties are waking up in New York, New York!!

That’s right, FusionBeauty has officially made a new home in the Big Apple!

Many of you may not realize that Fusion comes from rather humble beginnings - albeit fun and spirited ones! We began our journey in a small (okay tiny) office in Ottawa, Canada. Then we graduated to a newer and slightly fancier office down the street (okay just bigger not fancier) a couple of years later and then on to the large and bustling city of Toronto, Canada.

But this spring, Fusion’s savvy and entrepreneurial owners decided to ‘wake up in the city that never sleeps’ (ahhh….Frank Sinatra…) and the perfect home for a seriously sexy and ever-growing beauty company!

We’ve come a LONG way since our first launch in 2005 and our move to New York is just the beginning of a very bright and very exciting future ahead for what was once called ‘the little plumper brand that could’!

Sigh….the beautiful concrete jungle where dreams (and movies) are made of…5th Avenue, the MET, Sex in the City, runs in Central Park, romance at the Empire State Building, gorgeous cream Prada pumps sauntering down crowded streets that smell of roasted chestnuts…

Can’t blame a girl for daydreaming. I’m in a New York state of mind…;)
